Green County Ag Chest Scholarship

The Green County Ag Chest will award up to eleven $300 scholarships to applicants who are Seniors in High School and have enrolled in either a 4-year college or vocation school. To be eligible for one of these scholarships, the applicant must reside in a Green County Ag Chest participating community. All majors of study will be considered, but preference may be given to majors in related agriculture fields.

  2. Applications must be typed for consideration.
  3. Include two letters of recommendation from teachers, county agents, members of clergy, neighbors, advisors, or local business people.
  4. Provide a picture of yourself with your application.
  5. A copy of high school transcripts must be included.
  6. The recipient of the scholarship will be notified by mail or at award night at their school. The money will be awarded after you have completed 1 semester of college or vocational school. Before you receive the money, you will need to submit your fall semester grades (you must be passing all classes) and your second semester class list. A check will be written out to both you and the school you are attending.

Myron Jeglum Memorial Scholarship

The Myron Jeglum Memorial and Green County Agricultural Chest Scholarship of $200 will be awarded to an applicant who has completed one year of college and is enrolled in college for the fall semester. To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must reside in a Green County Ag Chest participating community and attend college in pursuit of an education in one of the following fields: Agriculture, Food, Nutrition or Health.

  4. Provide a picture of yourself with your application.
  5. A transcript of credits showing proof of successful completion of 1 year of college and a class list showing that you will be attending college in the fall.
